HG/T 4316-2012 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for sodium tripolyphosphate intended for uses other than detergents. It fixes the requirements for the product, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the rules for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. Its scope is the non-detergent grade of sodium tripolyphosphate and the main applications of that grade. The quoted standards applied with it include GB/T 3049-2006, GB/T 6003.1-1997, GB/T 23771-2009, GB/T 23774-2009, GB/T 23843-2009 and the three parts of HG/T 3696. Chinese classification G12 and international classification 71.060.50 place it with inorganic salts. Issued on 7 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
