HG/T 4174-2011 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for reinforced ultra-pure PFA shell-and-tube heat exchangers. It carries the terminology and definitions, the classification, the product designation and the specifications, then the technical requirements, the inspection methods, the inspection rules and the provisions on marking, packaging, transport and storage. The exchangers it covers are built from metal-reinforced ultra-pure PFA tubes, metal-reinforced ultra-pure fluoroplastic tubesheets and heads lined with ultra-pure fluoroplastic. Pressure vessel and heat exchanger practice is taken from GB 150, GB 151, GB/T 23711.1-2009, GB/T 23711.6-2009, GB 50073-2001, HG/T 20678-2000 and JB/T 4735. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
