HG/T 4117-2009 is a recommended chemical industry standard for the rubber seals fitted on the shaft of a washing machine, commonly called water seals. It describes their basic structure, their sizes and the code by which dimensions are identified, and then sets the requirements, the inspection rules, the test methods and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It covers seals for automatic and fully automatic washing machines with shaft diameters of 10 mm to 100 mm and a working pressure below 0.05 MPa. Verification uses GB/T 528, GB/T 531.1, GB/T 1682, GB/T 1690-1992, GB/T 3512, GB/T 7759-1996 and GB/T 15326-1994, with sampling under GB/T 2828.1. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
