HG/T 3984-2007 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for chemical resistant modified polypropylene storage tanks. It sets out the classification of the product, the technical requirements, the inspection rules and the marking and accompanying documents. The tanks it covers are produced by secondary processing of plastics from modified polypropylene laminated or extruded sheet as the main material, and they are meant for service at atmospheric pressure at temperatures between -10 °C and 80 °C. The material and the finished tank are judged against the plastics test standards it quotes, among them GB/T 1033, GB/T 1040.2, GB/T 1043, GB/T 1633, GB/T 4217, GB/T 9341, GB 9969.1, GB/T 10798 and GB/T 11547, with HG/T 20640. Issued on 22 September 2007, it has applied since 1 April 2008.
