Scope
GB/T 36941-2018 is the English-translated version of 秸秆纤维基聚丙烯改性料.
GB/T 36941-2018 is the Chinese national standard for straw plastics: polypropylene modified materials made mainly from polypropylene resin and straw fibre. It covers terms and definitions, classification, marking and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage.
The terms section defines straw as the stems and leaves of wheat, rice, corn and similar crops left after harvesting, including rice husks, and straw fibre as the uniform powder obtained after removing impurities, pulverizing and sieving.
Its normative references point to the methods used for density, tensile properties, melt flow rate, ash, bio-based content and bio-based carbon content, and to the food safety rules for plastics in contact with food.
Producers and testing laboratories use it. It was issued on 28 December 2018 and has applied since 1 July 2019.
