Scope
HG/T 3828-2006 is the English-translated version of 室内用水性木器涂料.
HG/T 3828-2006 is the recommended Chinese chemical industry standard for waterborne wood coatings used indoors, that is, for paints applied to interior wooden substrates for decoration and protection. It gives the definitions and the classification of these coatings, then their requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging. Its scope takes in polyurethane, acrylic and acrylic-polyurethane products and other types, whether supplied as one-component coatings drying at room temperature or as two-component systems. Among the many standards it quotes are GB 9278, GB/T 1766-1995, GB/T 9286-1998, GB/T 9750-1998 and GB/T 9755-2001. It is classified G51 in the Chinese system and 87.040 internationally. Issued on 26 July 2006, it has applied since 1 March 2007.
