HG/T 3594-2010 is the English-translated version of 工业焦磷酸.
HG/T 3594-2010 is the Chinese chemical industry standard for pyrophosphoric acid for industrial use. It sets out the classification of the product together with its requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and the provisions for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to industrial pyrophosphoric acid, a product used chiefly in electroplating to adjust the pH of the plating bath, as a catalyst, and in the making of organophosphates. The quoted standards include GB 190-2009, GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 3049-2006, GB/T 4472-2002, GB/T 6678, GB/T 6682-2008, GB/T 7686-2008, GB/T 8170, GB/T 21057-2007, GB/T 23945-2009, GB/T 23946-2009 and the HG/T 3696 series. It replaces HG/T 3594-1999, which dealt with pyrophosphoric acid for electroplating use. Issued on 22 November 2010, it has applied since 1 March 2011.
