Scope
HG/T 3416-2009 is the English-translated version of 大红色基G(2-甲基-5-硝基苯胺).
Scarlet base G, chemically 2-methyl-5-nitroaniline and called big red base G in older documents, is covered by HG/T 3416-2009. The recommended chemical industry standard states the requirements for the product and gives the sampling and test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, labelling, packaging, transport and storage. It is used to control the quality of the scarlet base G product, an item of group G57 within the dye and colorant classification. Its determinations rest on general laboratory standards including GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 1250-1989, GB/T 2386-2006, GB/T 6682-1992 and GB/T 9722-2006. It takes over from HG/T 3416-2001. Issued on 4 December 2009, it has applied since 1 June 2010.
