Scope

GB/Z 5169.42-2013 is the English-translated version of 电工电子产品着火危险试验 第42部分:试验火焰 确认试验 导则.

GB/Z 5169.42-2013 is Part 42 of the Chinese fire hazard testing series for electrical and electronic products and is identical to IEC/TS 60695-11-40:2002.

It gives guidance on confirmatory tests for small test flames: the general characteristics of such flames, confirmatory testing based on a copper block calorimeter, and a theoretical model of the heating dynamics involved.

It helps in choosing the key parameters when a confirmatory test is designed and provides the theoretical basis for describing its heating curve mathematically.

The text covers test flame and burner types, including diffusion flames, and defines copper block heat content, confirmatory test and flame stabilizer, with ISO/IEC 13943 as the vocabulary reference. It was issued on 17 December 2013.

1 Scope

GB/T 5169 This section provides the general characteristics of a small size test flame and copper-based calorimetric correlation confirmation test, and indeed Set a theoretical model of related dynamics. This section provides guidance on the selection of key parameters to confirm the design of the test, and to confirm the test Other performance parameters to establish the theoretical basis to confirm the test heating curve can be accurate and absolute mathematical description.

3 Terms and definitions

ISO /IEC 13943:2000 defined and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Copper block heat content

All theoretically absorbed or released thermal energy is only related to the temperature, mass and copper specific heat capacity of the test copper block.

3.2 Confirmatory test

Confirm the test confirmatorytest Thermal measurement procedures used to determine whether a test flame, burner or associated hardware is working properly.

3.3 Flame stabilizer

The assembly is usually mounted on the top of a standard laboratory Bunsen burner or a lifting lamp by passing the gas between the fast flowing combustion gas and the surrounding still air An intermediate gas velocity intermediate layer is created to mitigate the effects of instability due to turbulence in the combustion gases and the surrounding air.

4 Test flame, burner type and kinetics

4.1 General Dynamics

The flame is composed of an oxidant (represented by oxygen or air mixture) that can undergo a chemical exothermic reaction and a reducing agent or fuel (expressed as a fuel gas Or steam). For standard test flames, the flammable substances are converted to the required gas by suitable means The reactant is then output as a continuous stream of gas to achieve the desired standard flame.

4.2 Diffusion of flame and burner

Diffusion flames are produced when a simple gas stream is mixed with air at the escaping outlet of the unit. Spread the flame The advantage of this is that the device is simple (usually a simple burner) and better simulates the real flames that can be created in the device; disadvantages
