"Universal characters for printing ancient books" refers to the Chinese characters used to print professional ancient books. According to "The People's Republic of China National Common Language Law" Article 17 stipulates that there are six situations in which "traditional characters and variants can be reserved or used". The fifth one is "the need to use traditional Chinese characters in publishing, teaching, and research." A large number of ancient books in our country are in classical Chinese, which not only requires a large number of traditional characters and variants with different usages, but also a large number of inherited characters. Therefore, the common character system for printing ancient books and the common standard Chinese character system for printing modern Chinese texts are different application systems for Chinese characters. To solve This document is specially formulated to ensure the smooth reading of ancient books and the accurate dissemination on the Internet due to the confusion of the words used in the printing of ancient books.
