This document is modified to adopt IEC TS61340-5-4:2021 "Electrostatics - Part 5-4.Verification of compliance of electronic devices with electrostatic protection". certificate".
The technical differences between this document and IEC TS61340-5-4:2021, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.
---The terms and definitions for "compliance verification" and "electrostatic discharge sensitive products" have been added as needed (see 3.1 and 3.3);
---Added the instruction "Users should consider the lowest relative humidity level of the environment, under which certain measurements are performed," enabling integration with electronic devices.
It should match the general requirements for electrostatic discharge protection (see Chapter 5);
---The original text regarding the decay time of the charging plate monitor (CPM) under non-ionization conditions had different requirements of 1 minute and 5 minutes. This requirement should be changed... The 5-minute interval has been uniformly changed to 1 minute (see 6.4.1, 6.4.2, and 14.4.1);
---To improve troubleshooting measures for ionization electrostatic eliminators, the following has been added. "Check whether the measurement area and surrounding area are in a working state." "DC high-voltage power supply and radio frequency equipment" [see 14.5m];
---To standardize and improve the testing methods for storage racks, the following has been added. "For testing PCB storage racks, a metal plate can be inserted into the storage rack..." The description of "assisted testing" is added, and a test diagram "Figure 13b) test of moving PCB storage rack" is added [see 15.4f, Figure 13b). The following editorial changes have been made to this document.
---The original informative Appendix C, "Other Test Methods for Antistatic Clothing," has been deleted; subsequent appendice numbering will be adjusted accordingly.
---Add "Figure 2. Schematic diagram of the resistance to ground at the wristband connection point," and adjust the numbering of other figures accordingly;
---Because isopropanol (IPA) is a Class III hazardous chemical, a flammable liquid with slight toxicity, alcohol is used to replace isopropanol (see B.3.2). B.5.2);
---Delete the last sentence of note 6.12."There is currently no standardized verification of whether this situation has occurred." Please note that some content in this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document assumes no responsibility for identifying patents.
