1 Scope

GB/Z 34066-2017 is the Chinese national standard on control and communicatoin network cip safety specification, in the field of manufacturing engineering. The /Z suffix marks it as a guiding technical document: it does not prescribe requirements that can be certified against, but sets out the technique, the method or the state of the art that the standards bodies recommend following. It was issued on 31 July 2017 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China. As a guiding technical document it carries no separate date of entry into force: it applies from publication. Classification: ICS 25.040, CCS N10. This guidance document defines the service, protocol, management and system requirements for the CIPSafety safety communications layer. This instructive technical document uses the safety procedures recommended by the German Safety Bus Committee Coding for secure data transmission over standard networks. This approach relies on possible transmission errors as defined in EN50159-1.1996 Wrong provision of measures.
