1 Scope

GB/Z 25008-2010 is the Chinese national standard on traceability in the feed and food chain - guideline for system design and implementation, in the field of food technology. The /Z suffix marks it as a guiding technical document: it does not prescribe requirements that can be certified against, but sets out the technique, the method or the state of the art that the standards bodies recommend following. It was issued on 2 September 2010 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China. As a guiding technical document it carries no separate date of entry into force: it applies from publication. Classification: ICS 67.040, CCS X00. This guidance document provides guidance on the design and implementation of traceability systems for feed and food chains. This guideline is applicable to all parties that establish a traceability system for feed and food chains according to GB/T 22005-2009.

3 Terms and definitions

GB/T 22005-2009 established and the following terms and definitions apply to the guidance of technical documents.

3.1 Traceable unit traceableunit There is a need for a single product or batch of products that records and tracks information about its source, use, and location.

Note. Tracing includes both tracking and tracing.

3.2 External traceability externaltraceability Tracing and/or tracing backwards traceability units (3.1) when passed from one organization to another. External traceability is feed And collaboration between organizations on the food chain.
