As a Chinese national guiding technical document on electromagnetic compatibility it carries recommendations rather than binding limits, and it is an identical adoption of IEC 61000-3-6:1996.

2 Scope
GB/Z 17625.4-2000 sets out the basic principles for assessing the emission limits of distorting loads, that is loads producing harmonics and interharmonics, when they are connected to medium- and high-voltage power systems. Its purpose is to give engineering practice a guideline, so that the measures taken secure an adequate quality of supply for every user of the system. As a Chinese national guiding technical document on electromagnetic compatibility it carries recommendations rather than binding limits, and it is an identical adoption of IEC 61000-3-6:1996. GB/T 4365-1995, GB 17625.1-1998, GB/T 17626.7-1998 and IEC 61000-2-2:1990 are quoted in the text. It was issued on 3 April 2000.
