Foreword

This revised standard adopts ISO 749. 1977 "in oilseed residues - Determination of total ash" (in English).

This standard and ISO 749. 1977 main technical differences are as follows.

--- Increase in Chapter 5 of the reagent requirements;

--- Modify the requirements in a muffle furnace at 6.5;

--- 7.1.2 The total ash content is calculated on a dry basis with two timing were integrated.

For ease of use, this standard made the following editorial changes.

--- "This International Standard" be replaced by "this standard";

--- Delete international standards foreword.

This standard replaces GB/T 9824-1988 "Determination of total ash in oilseed residues." this standard and GB/T 9824-1988 compared to the main changes are as follows.

--- Added "normative references";

--- Increased the result of the determination of the claim;

--- Regulate the use of the expression values, quantities and units.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the oilseed (except composite product) in total ash content determination principle, reagents, instruments and appliances, analysis steps and the result of the calculation.

This standard applies to oil extracted by pressing or leaching method after oilseed (except composite product).

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.

The sample under the operating conditions, after 550 °C ± 15 °C ashing residue obtained.

5 Reagents

The water should be consistent with GB/T 6682 in the three water requirements.

Solution of ammonium nitrate, Ba (NH4NO3) = 200g/L. Weigh 20.0g ammonium nitrate (AR), dissolved in water and diluted to 100mL, Mix well.

6 Instruments and appliances

6.1 Analytical balance. dividing the value of 0.0001g.

6.4 flat crucible. a diameter of about 60mm, a height of not more than 25mm, material is platinum, - gold, silica or porcelain.

6.5 muffle furnace. temperature-controlled at 550 °C ± 15 °C.

6.6 dryer. fitted with an efficient desiccant.
