GB/T 9109.1-2016 is the English-translated version of 石油和液体石油产品动态计量 第1部分：一般原则.
GB/T 9109.1-2016 is Part 1 of the Chinese national standard on the dynamic measurement of petroleum and liquid petroleum products and sets the basic requirements for building, running and maintaining the metering system of a custody-transfer metering station.
It covers the construction of the station, the configuration of the metering system, flow measurement, analysis of oil quality, proving, the collection and processing of metering data, the auxiliary systems, and operation and maintenance; it defines metering station, metering system, measuring equipment and apparent mass, the mass of oil corrected for air buoyancy.
A normative appendix guides the instrumentation and an informative one shows system configurations. It applies to stations handling commodity petroleum; non-commodity stations may refer to it.
It replaces GB/T 9109.1-2010, which covered crude oil only, was issued on 30 December 2016 and has applied since 1 July 2017.

GB/T 9109 "Dynamic measurement of petroleum and liquid petroleum products" consists of the following four parts.
- Part 1. General principles;
- Part 2. Technical requirements for flowmeter installation;
- Part 3. Technical requirements for volume tube installation; Part 5. Calculation of fuel quantity.
This part is part 1 of GB/T 9109.
This part is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 9109.1-2010 "General Principles of Dynamic Measurement of Crude Oil". Compared with GB/T 9109.1-2010, the main The changes are.

3 Terms and definitions

3.1 Measuring station
