Scope

GB/T 8891-2025 is the English-translated version of 铜及铜合金散热管.

GB/T 8891-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the copper tube in a radiator core - its alloy and temper, the wall thickness tolerances that decide how thin it can be drawn without failing, the flattening and expanding tests, and the internal cleanliness. Issued on 31 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026, replacing GB/T 8891-2013.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part

1.Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 8891-2013 "Copper and Copper Alloy Heat Dissipation Pipes". Compared with GB/T 8891-2013, the main differences are in structural adjustments and rewriting. Aside from the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Product "Classification and Labelling" has been changed (see Chapter 4,

3.1 of the.2013 edition);

b) Added grade "H96" (see Table 1); changed the status of grade "T2" and the specifications of grade "TU0" (see Table 1,.2013 edition). (Table 1)

c) Technical requirements for the dimensions and permissible deviations of trapezoidal tubes have been added (see Table 5);

d) Technical requirements for the fillet radius of rectangular and trapezoidal tubing have been added (see 5.2.5);

e) The technical requirements and test methods for the "hardness test" have been added (see Table 12 and 6.3.2);

f) The technical requirements and test methods for the "pneumatic test" have been revised (see

5.4.1 and 6.4.1,

4.4 in the.2013 edition);

g) The chemical composition analysis method has been changed (see 6.1,

4.1 in the.2013 edition);

h) The method for room temperature tensile testing of pipes has been modified (see 6.3.1,
