Scope
GB/T 8133-2009 is the English-translated version of 生猾皮检验方法.
GB/T 8133-2009 specifies the sampling, the test methods and the determination of test results for the inspection of raw kid skin, and clause 1 applies it to the inspection of raw kid skin of every grade.
Clause 3 defines the vocabulary the inspection relies on: the test batch, taken as skins of the same species processed under the same conditions or forming the same inspection lot; a defect where hair has been lost and the hide is partly exposed; moth damage, where small holes or curved channels in the fur cause the hair to come off or break; and a defect consisting of linear breakage of the fibre.
Clause 4 sets the sampling: the normal inspection sampling plan of GB/T 2828.1 applies, at general inspection level II, with an acceptable quality limit of AQL 1.0 for class A nonconforming product and AQL 4.0 for class B, and the number of samples is given in Table 1.
Besides GB/T 2828.1 the standard cites SN 0331, the anthrax test method for exported animal products.
The foreword records what the revision changed against the 1987 edition: the terms and definitions were rewritten, the scope was broadened and made more precise, the sampling content was modified, the title was changed, and clauses on normative references, the determination of test results, quarantine and the validity of the test were added.
The standard was proposed and is administered by the Certification and Accreditation Administration and was drafted by the Shandong entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau.
It replaces GB/T 8133-1987, was issued on May 26, 2009 and has applied since October 1, 2009.
