This document is applicable to the fields of fishery production, management, scientific research, teaching and publications.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 40273, SC/T 4001 and SC/T 5001 apply to this document.

4 Quantities, units and symbols

4.1 The main physical quantities of fishing gear and fishing gear materials and the corresponding unit names and symbols are shown in Table 1.

4.2 The derived units of the International System of Units for commonly used quantities of fishing gear and fishing gear materials shall comply with the provisions of Appendix A.
