This document replaces GB/T 6609.30-2009 "Methods for Chemical Analysis and Determination of Physical Properties of Alumina Part 30: X-ray Determination of Trace Elements by Fluorescence Spectrometry", compared with GB/T 6609.30-2009, except for structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes as follows.

a) Change the name of the standard to "Methods for chemical analysis of alumina and methods for the determination of physical properties - Part 30: Content of trace elements Determination of wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry";

b) When using the grinding and tableting method, the sample weighing, grinding and tableting conditions and method precision data have been added (see Chapter 6);

c) Deleted the contents of Appendix A "Working Parameters of X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer" (see Appendix A of the.2009 edition).

Introduction

GB/T 6609 "Alumina Chemical Analysis Method and Physical Properties Determination Method" is the chemical analysis method and physical properties determination method of alumina.

A series of standards for the method, including preparation and storage of alumina samples, determination of moisture loss on ignition, chemical element composition analysis, particle size analysis, bulk density, etc.

Total of 37 parts, technical specifications for the operation of alumina chemical and physical analysis, in alumina trade settlement, chemical element determination comparison, etc.

Wide range of applications. GB/T 6609.30 specifies the determination of trace element content in alumina by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry method.

Due to the need for timeliness of industrial continuous production, many alumina or electrolytic aluminum plants at home and abroad use XRF analysis, using the same sample preparation technology, namely high temperature fusion sample preparation. Due to the requirements of the method of dilution of the sample preparation flux in the fusion method, the fluorescence count intensity decreased seriously, which may affect the For the determination of ultra-low elements such as silicon, phosphorus, and titanium with low impact, the powder tablet method for sample preparation is convenient for operation, high fluorescence counting intensity and low cost. This method is rapidly popularized and applied in the industry.

This revision of GB/T 6609.30 clearly stipulates the wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis method, and the "grinding and tableting method" enhances the XRF method.

The flexibility of the XRF method expands the sample preparation method of the related XRF method, makes up for the disconnection between the standard and the actual measurement, and further improves the tableting method of related enterprises.

The standardization of operation and the accuracy scale of XRF analysis provide a basis for the analysis, comparison and exchange of alumina tableting methods for alumina-related enterprises.

At the same time, the determination and analysis system of alumina chemical elements was further improved.
