Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 6015-1999 "Determination of Trace Dimer in Industrial Butadiene Gas Chromatography", and compared with GB/T 6015-1999, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Modified the scope of application and added the determination of extractant content (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 1999 edition);

b) Added the technical content of extractant determination (see Chapter 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10);

c) Modified the preparation method of standard samples, and deleted the relevant content of preparing standard samples with n-hexane or n-heptane as the solvent of the original standard (see 5.5, 4.5 and 7.2 of the 1999 edition);

d) Modified the chromatographic column and typical chromatographic operating conditions (see Chapter 6, Chapter 5 of the 1999 edition);

e) Re-determined the method repeatability limit (see Chapter 10, Chapter 9 of the 1999 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the use of gas chromatography to determine the content of trace dimers and residual extractants in industrial butadiene.

This document is applicable to the determination of butadiene dimers such as 4-vinylcyclohexene, 1,2-divinylcyclobutane, 1,5-cyclooctadiene, etc. and of residual extractants such as acetonitrile (ACN), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) in industrial butadiene. The lowest measured concentration of dimer is 5mg/kg, and the lowest measured concentration of extractant is 1mg/kg.

4 Method summary

The liquid butadiene sample is injected into the gas chromatograph, and the butadiene dimer and extractant in the sample are effectively separated in the chromatographic column, use a hydrogen flame ionization detector (FID) for detection, and calculate the content of each component to be tested by an external standard method.
