Scope

GB/T 48111-2026 (Traffic information collection - Roadside traffic condition detector by millimeter-wave radar) is available as an English-translated PDF.

GB/T 48111-2026 is a national standard for roadside traffic condition detectors that use millimeter-wave radar to collect traffic information. It deals with the composition and model designation of the detectors, their technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and also covers transportation and storage.

Normative appendices set requirements for the data reporting interface message frame and for functional and performance testing, and an informative appendix describes a functional and performance simulation test.

Terms include the detector itself and vehicle volume. It applies to the production, use and inspection of such detectors on highways and can serve as a reference for urban roads.

Issued on 28 August 2026 and applicable from 1 March 2027, it replaces no earlier standard.
