1 Scope

GB/T 46485-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the automatic litter box, feeder, water fountain and grooming device - the performance each has to deliver, the hygiene and cleanability, and the safety of a machine that operates unattended around an animal that cannot read a warning label. First edition, in force from 1 May 2026. Issued on 5 October 2025, it has been in force since 1 May 2026.

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and transportation of electric cleaning and grooming appliances for household and similar purposes used on pets. Storage, and the corresponding experimental methods are described. This document applies to single-phase electric pet cleaning and grooming appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V, used in households or similar locations. The production, inspection and sale of (hereinafter referred to as "equipment").
