1 Scope

This document specifies the materials, classification, size, bursting pressure and hydrostatic strength of marine polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings.

The requirements for physical and mechanical properties, system applicability, etc. are described, and the corresponding test methods are specified, as well as the inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

Require.

This document is applicable to the working temperature not higher than 60°C, the maximum working pressure (MOP) not greater than 1.6MPa, and installed in the ship's ballast water

Non-important piping systems in tanks, open decks, tanks, empty spaces, tunnels and guide holes, including ballast water piping systems, domestic water piping systems and grey and black water piping systems.

The piping system specified in this document is not suitable for places with requirements such as fire resistance, smoke suppression and conductivity.
