GB/T 44934-2024 is the English-translated version of 电力储能用飞轮储能单元技术规范.

GB/T 44934-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the single flywheel unit that a storage plant is built up from — the model coding by which a unit is designated, the normal working environment, the technical requirements on the rotor, whether it is metal or fibre-reinforced composite, and on the rest of the unit, the test methods that demonstrate them, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage that follow the unit out of the works. It works with the system-level standard GB/T 44933-2024, which covers the plant the units are assembled into. First edition, under the China Electricity Council. In force from 1 July 2025. Issued on 31 December 2024, it has been in force since 1 July 2025.

1 Scope

This document specifies the coding, normal working environment, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and other aspects of flywheel energy storage units for power energy storage.

The requirements for transportation and storage are described, and the corresponding test methods are described.

3 Terms and definitions
