Scope

GB/T 44851.2-2025 is the English-translated version of 道路车辆 液化天然气(LNG)燃气系统部件 第2部分:性能要求和试验方法.

GB/T 44851.2-2025 is Part 2 of GB/T 44851 and specifies the performance requirements for the components of liquefied natural gas fuel systems on road vehicles and describes the test methods for those components.

Clause 1 lists what it covers, general requirements, the hydrostatic strength test, the leakage test, the over torque test, the bending moment test, the continuous operation test, the corrosion resistance test, the oxygen aging test, the voltage test, the non-metallic material immersion test, the vibration resistance test and the brass material compatibility test; it applies the document to the vehicle types defined in GB/T 3730.1 and does not apply to gas cylinders, stationary gas engines, container fixing parts, the electronic fuel control system or the filling port, components outside its scope being implemented by reference to it and given the corresponding functional tests.

Clause 1 also treats pressures as gauge pressures unless otherwise specified and sets the fuel working pressure at 1.6 MPa, adjusted by an appropriate factor for other systems, so that a system operating at 2 MPa requires the pressure to be multiplied by 1.25.

The table of contents follows that list clause by clause: after 1 Scope, 2 Normative references, 3 Terms and definitions and 4 General requirements come 5 Hydrostatic strength test, 6 Leakage test, 7 Over-torque test, 8 Bending moment test, 9 Continuous operation test, 10 Corrosion resistance test, 11 Oxygen aging test, 12 Overvoltage test, 13 Immersion test of non-metallic materials, 14 Vibration resistance test and 15 Brass material compatibility test, then informative Appendix A on the degree of conformity between GB/T 44851 (all parts) and ISO 12614 (all parts) and a list of references.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 3512, GB/T 10125, GB/T 44851.1-2025, GB/T 44851 (all parts) and ISO 15500 (all parts). Clause 3 defines no term of its own and refers to the terms defined in GB/T 44851.1, and the draft stops at the end of it, so none of the test clauses is shown beyond the title printed in the table of contents.

The foreword records a modified adoption of ISO 12614-2:2021 in which 9.2.1 to 9.2.4 were added, the maximum deviation of pressure, temperature and size during the test was changed at 4.3, GB/T 44851.1-2025 was put in place of ISO 12614-1:2021 at 9.2.2 and 9.2.3, GB/T 10125 in place of ISO 9227 at 10.2 and GB/T 3512 in place of ISO 188 in clause 11, and a test time requirement was added at 13.2. It was issued on 2025-08-29 and has applied since 2026-03-01.
