Scope

GB/T 44851.18-2025 is the English-translated version of 道路车辆 液化天然气(LNG)燃气系统部件 第18部分:气体温度传感器.

GB/T 44851.18-2025 is Part 18 of GB/T 44851 and specifies the technical requirements for the gas temperature sensors used in liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel systems on road vehicles and describes the test method for them.

Clause 1 applies the document to the vehicle types defined in GB/T 3730.1 and does not apply to gas cylinders, stationary gas engines, container fixing parts, the electronic fuel control system or the filling port; components it does not cover are to be implemented by reference to it and given the corresponding functional tests, pressures count as gauge pressures unless otherwise specified and the working pressure of the fuel gas is 1.6 MPa, adjusted by an appropriate factor for other systems.

The table of contents gives six clauses, 1 Scope, 2 Normative references, 3 Terms and definitions, 4 Technical requirements, 5 Test method and 6 Logo, followed by a list of references.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 28046.2-2019, GB/T 44851.1 and GB/T 44851.2, and clause 3 adds no definition of its own, referring to the terms defined in GB/T 44851.1.

Clause 4 is shown in full and has two subclauses: 4.1 requires the sensor to comply with the provisions of GB/T 44851.1 and GB/T 44851.2 and to be tested by the methods of clause 5, and 4.2 says that the gas temperature sensor should be installed on the outlet pipeline of the liquefied natural gas vaporizer; the draft breaks off after 4.2, so no clause after it is shown.

The introduction gives the purpose of this part as specifying the identification and the requirements of gas temperature sensors and describing the test methods together with special test methods for hydrostatic pressure strength, leakage, insulation resistance and minimum working voltage.

The foreword records a modified adoption of ISO 12614-18:2021 in which clause 4 of the ISO text became clause 6 of this document and its clauses 5 and 6 became clauses 4 and 5, the numbers 5.4.3, 6.1 and 6.2 were added, GB/T 44851.1 and GB/T 44851.2 were put in place of ISO 12614-1 and ISO 12614-2, GB/T 28046.2-2019 was added as a normative reference at 5.4.2 and 5.4.3 with a changed insulation resistance test method at 5.4.2 and added requirements on the result at 5.4.3, and the identification content of clause 6 was changed. It was issued on 2025-08-29 and has applied since 2026-03-01.
