Scope

GB/T 44368-2024 is the English-translated version of 进口冷链食品追溯 追溯系统数据交换应用规范.

GB/T 44368-2024 specifies how traceability data is exchanged for imported cold-chain food in China. The Chinese cold-chain traceability system was built at speed and is now permanent: every consignment of imported chilled and frozen food carries an identifier that must follow it from the customs clearance point through cold store, distribution and sale, with each handover recorded, and the system only works if the platforms operated by customs, by provinces and by enterprises can exchange those records without loss. The standard sets the general principles of data interchange and then the data model: the processes involved, the domestic customs clearance traceability data, the storage, transport and distribution data, the sales data, and the identifiers, code structures and time and place attributes that tie them together, followed by the interchange method, the message formats and the requirements on security and on data quality. For a foreign exporter, an importer or a platform operator, this is the specification that says what data the Chinese system will demand and in what form. It takes effect on 1 March 2025.

Imported cold-chain food traceability -- Specification for

data interchange application of traceability system

1 Scope

GB/T 44368-2024 specifies how traceability data is exchanged for imported cold-chain food in China. The Chinese cold-chain traceability system was built at speed and is now permanent: every consignment of imported chilled and frozen food carries an identifier that must follow it from the customs clearance point through cold store, distribution and sale, with each handover recorded, and the system only works if the platforms operated by customs, by provinces and by enterprises can exchange those records without loss. For a foreign exporter, an importer or a platform operator, this is the specification that says what data the Chinese system will demand and in what form. It takes effect on 1 March 2025.

This document specifies the general principles, data model, data interchange interface

requirements, and testing and verification methods for data interchange in the imported

cold-chain food traceability system.

This document applies to data interchange and application in the traceability system for

imported cold-chain food.

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 43268-

2023 as well as the followings apply.

3.1 data interchange

The process by which various entities exchange data with each other.

[Source. GB/T 36107-2018, 3.1]

4 General principles of data interchange

4.1 All information systems shall follow a unified data model when interchanging data.

4.2 The data interchanged must be true, accurate, timely and complete.

4.3 Determine the content and format of data interchange in accordance with the

standard format.

4.4 When interchanging data, it is advisable to consider the security of access

authentication, data encryption, data transmission, message status receipts, and log

recording.

5 Data model

5.1 Involved processes

Data interchange between imported cold-chain food traceability systems mainly

includes data from four aspects. domestic customs clearance, domestic production and

processing, logistics, and distribution and sales.

5.5 Traceability data model for distribution and sales

The data model for traceability in the distribution and sales process is shown in Figure

4.

5.6 Data element requirements

Data elements shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 43265-2023.

6 Requirements for data interchange interfaces

6.1 Data interchange interfaces are divided into service interface and file interface (see
