GB/T 44230-2024 is the English-translated version of 政务信息系统基本要求.

GB/T 44230-2024 sets the basic requirements for Chinese government information systems. Its purpose is consolidation: Chinese government at every level accumulated systems department by department, each with its own data, identity, interfaces and procurement, and the resulting inability to share is what the standard is meant to end. It sets the general requirements and then the requirements across the dimensions that determine whether a system can join the wider government estate: the functional and business requirements, the data requirements including the standard data elements, the data sharing and the catalogue registration, the interface and integration requirements, the requirements on the platform and infrastructure, on identity, authentication and access, on the security and classified protection level, on availability, performance and continuity, on the operation and maintenance, and on the documentation and the lifecycle management of the system from planning through construction and acceptance to retirement. It takes effect on 1 March 2025.

1 Scope

GB/T 44230-2024 sets the basic requirements for Chinese government information systems.
