Scope

GB/T 43260-2023 is the English-translated version of 进口冷链食品追溯 追溯信息管理要求.

GB/T 43260-2023 sets the requirements for managing the information in the imported cold-chain food traceability system. The system holds, for every consignment entering the country, the foreign plant, the vessel, the port, the cold store and every subsequent handler - a body of data that is commercially sensitive to the importers who supply it and operationally critical to the authorities who use it, which makes its retention and protection a question in its own right. The standard sets the general requirements, the content of the information, how it is recorded, how it is stored and for how long, and the information security requirements around it. It took effect on 1 April 2024.
