1 Scope

GB/T 42725-2023 specifies the business process for the verified gross mass of a loaded container. SOLAS has required since 2016 that a container's actual weight be verified and declared before it may be loaded, a rule written after ships were lost and stacks collapsed because declared weights were guesses.
