1 Scope
This standard specifies the designation, type, state, recommended application and product labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of tungsten wires.
This standard is applicable to black tungsten wires and white tungsten wires used for filaments, hot filaments, grids, springs, supports, leads, tungsten hinge wires, heating elements, high-temperature components, furnace heating materials, etc. in electric light sources and electronic devices.

3 Product designation, type, state, recommended application and product labeling
3.1 Product designation, type, state and recommended application
The designation, type and state of tungsten wires are shown in Table 1. See Table 2 for the recommended application.

Example 1: WK80 phi0.10 I TD It represents a Type T drawn tungsten wire with designation of WK80, diameter of 0.10mm and Class I tolerance.
Example 2: WK60 phi0.20 II E
It represents an electropolished tungsten wire with designation of WK60, diameter of 0.20mm and Class II tolerance.
Example 3: W1 phi0.60 II D
It represents a drawn tungsten wire with designation of W1, diameter of 0.60mm and Class II tolerance.
4 Requirements
4.1 Chemical composition
The chemical composition (mass fraction) of tungsten wire shall meet those specified in Table 3.

4.2.1 Minimum diameter and maximum diameter of tungsten wire
The minimum diameter and maximum diameter of various designations of tungsten wires shall meet those specified in Table 4.
