Scope

GB/T 41794-2022 is the English-translated version of 土工合成材料 聚烯烃土工膜耐应力开裂性能的评价 切口恒定拉伸负荷法.

GB/T 41794-2022 is the Chinese national notched constant tensile load method for judging how well a polyolefin geomembrane resists stress cracking. A dumbbell-shaped specimen is cut from the membrane and notched across its narrow parallel part until the remaining thickness reaches the specified value.

It is then held under constant tension in an aqueous surfactant solution at a set temperature until it breaks or the set time is reached, and the time or number of fractures is recorded.

The tester is a heated box with water circulation, a specimen holder, a timer, a lever and weights. It applies to geomembranes made from polyolefin resin with additives, and to those resins.

It cites GB/T 1040.3, GB/T 2035, GB/T 6672, GB/T 9352, GB/T 13760 and GB/T 17643, was issued on 14 October 2022 and has applied since 1 May 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

1 Scope

This document specifies the method for evaluating the stress cracking resistance of polyolefin geomembranes (hereinafter referred to as "geomembrane") using the notch constant tensile load method. testing method.

This document is applicable to the evaluation of stress cracking resistance of geomembranes produced with polyolefin resin as raw material and adding various additives. Book The document is also applicable to the evaluation of the stress cracking resistance of resins for polyolefin geomembranes.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 2035 and GB/T 17643 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Notch constant tensile load test

A constant tensile stress is applied to the specimen with a certain depth of cut until the specimen fails or the specified time is reached.

Note: Notch constant tensile load test, referred to as NCTL test.

4 Principles

Cut a dumbbell-shaped sample from the geomembrane, make an incision in the narrow and parallel middle of the sample, and make the remaining thickness of the sample reach the specified value, perpendicular to the length of the sample. A constant tension is applied to the specimen in an aqueous surfactant solution at a specified temperature until fracture or specified During this time, record the time or the number of fractures of the specimen.

5 Equipment and reagents

5.1 Stress crack tester

The stress cracking tester is mainly composed of a box with built-in heating and water circulation device, a sample holder, a timer, a lever and a counterweight, as shown in Figure 1.
