3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 44572, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 matte film

A thin film with high haze, high light transmittance, low gloss, and diffuse reflection.

Note. Also known as matte film or glossy film.

3.2 Transparent spot

Point-like defects indicating missing matte finish.

3.3 semi-mattspot

Areas with haze less than that of a normal matte film surface and gloss higher than that of a normal matte film surface.
