Scope

GB/T 41635-2022 is the English-translated version of 高海拔电气设备电场分布有限元计算导则.

GB/T 41635-2022 guides the finite element calculation of the electric field around electrical equipment used between 1000 m and 4000 m altitude; lower down it serves as a reference.

It sets out the types of calculation, the basic principles and process, the rules for building the model, the effect of the high altitude climate, the correction of withstand voltage and creepage distance, and the factors and deviations that bear on the result.

An electrostatic calculation suits DC or power frequency voltage; a transient calculation suits lightning and switching impulses, very fast transient overvoltage and polarity reversal.

Four annexes cover the principles, the climatic effects, common parameters and the assessment of numerical results. It cites GB/T 311.1-2012, GB/T 2900.71-2008, GB/T 16927.1-2011, GB 19517-2009 and GB/T 33582-2017. Issued on 11 July 2022, it has applied since 1 February 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

1 Scope

This document gives the calculation type, basic principle and process, general requirements, finite element calculation of electric field distribution of high-altitude electrical equipment General rules for establishing element electric field model, influence of high altitude climatic environment on electrical equipment, high altitude withstand voltage and creepage distance correction method, Result influencing factors, deviation and result judgment.

This document is applicable to the finite element calculation of electric field distribution of electrical equipment used in areas with an altitude of 1000m~4000m. Altitude 1000m The finite element calculation of the electric field distribution of electrical equipment used in the following areas can be performed by reference.

3.1 Dielectric strength

The highest electric field strength that a material can withstand under the action of an electric field to avoid being damaged (breakdown).

4 Calculation Types

4.1 Electrostatic field calculation

If the operating voltage and frequency of electrical equipment are low, such as DC voltage or power frequency voltage, the wavelength of electromagnetic waves is much larger than the characteristic scale of the equipment, an electrostatic field analysis should be used.

4.2 Transient electric field calculation

If it is necessary to study the electric field distribution of electrical equipment under transient electrical stress conditions, the transition process should be added, and the test voltage should be corrected.

The entire waveform value. Such as lightning impulse voltage (LI), operating impulse voltage (SI), fast transient overvoltage (VFTO), polarity reversal, etc.

The above transient electrical stress includes multiple frequency components, and the transient electric field analysis should be used instead of the electrostatic field simulation calculation results.
