Scope
GB/T 41539-2022 is the English-translated version of 卫星遥感影像地表温度产品规范.
GB/T 41539-2022 fixes what a surface temperature product made from satellite remote sensing imagery has to look like. It specifies the product grading, the naming rules, the product composition, the technical requirements and the product inspection, and it applies to the production, management, maintenance and use of such products.
The grading framework runs from level 2 to level 4 products, the composition is described as a metadata set, a surface temperature dataset and auxiliary datasets, and the technical requirements cover time information, spatial reference information and product quality.
A normative annex lists the basic contents of the metadata file and another gives the meaning of the product quality markings. It cites GB/T 35652, GB/T 37151, GB/T 39608 and GB/T 41534. It was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.
Introduction
Land surface temperature is a key parameter of terrestrial surface system processes at regional and global scales, which characterize the interaction between the surface and the atmosphere and and the comprehensive result of energy exchange between the atmosphere and land, is an important parameter in the process of obtaining information on the temporal and spatial changes of the surface energy balance.
Numerical forecasting, global circulation models, and regional climate models are widely used in research fields. Obtaining an accurate surface temperature not only helps in evaluating It can estimate the surface energy and water balance, thermal inertia and soil moisture, and help to grasp the long-term trend of global surface temperature.
Satellite remote sensing technology has the characteristics of fast speed, high temporal and spatial resolution, and is suitable for long-term continuous observation of large areas.
The most direct and economical means of obtaining surface temperature at a regional or global scale. Several sets of satellite remote sensing technology-based geography have been released at home and abroad.
Surface temperature products, but due to the difference in the degree of definition and application level of surface temperature products, the surface temperature products produced by different institutions or organizations Consistency between products is poor. Differences in the composition, grading and labelling of surface temperature products make it difficult for different researchers to use There is a certain blindness in the application process, which generates additional costs, increases the application complexity, and hinders the orderly development and wide application of surface temperature products. Wide application.
This document is based on the development of surface temperature products and the needs and trends of their industrialization.
Make uniform technical regulations on the classification, naming rules, product composition, technical requirements and product inspection of surface temperature products, so as to establish a scientific, cooperative and It can improve the application level of surface temperature products, and provide users with the structure and content of the required products, which is convenient for users.
For the access and correct use of surface temperature products, the industrialization development of my country's surface temperature products will be promoted.
1 Scope

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Brightness temperature
At the same wavelength, the temperature of a black body with the same radiance as the thermal radiator.
Note: The unit is Kelvin (K). [Source: GB/T 36299-2018, 3.14]
3.2 Surface temperature
Characterizes the integrated temperature of the epidermis with a thickness of the Earth's surface equal to the penetration depth (range 0.1 to 10 wavelengths).
Note 1: According to the surface type, it is divided into land surface temperature and ocean surface temperature.
Note 2: The surface temperature retrieved from the remote sensing data is based on the brightness temperature obtained by the remote sensor, after eliminating the influence of the atmosphere and emissivity, the equivalent temperature (ie, the directional radiometer temperature) of the non-isothermal mixed pixel, in Kelvin (K).
3.3 Metadata
Data describing properties and related properties of surface temperature products.
NOTE: Include basic information, overall quality, file name/dataset name, geographic location, etc.
