Scope

GB/T 41534-2022 is the English-translated version of 地表温度遥感产品真实性检验.

GB/T 41534-2022 sets out how a surface temperature product obtained by remote sensing is checked against reality. It specifies the basic requirements, the inspection methods and the inspection report for that validation, and it applies to surface temperature retrieval products from airborne and spaceborne remote sensing data.

The inspection methods are divided into a direct method and an indirect method, with rules for choosing between them, and the report is described by its cover information, its body information and a short form.

A normative annex gives the way the relative true value is obtained at point source scale, and informative annexes cover the pixel scale over heterogeneous surfaces, auxiliary data, uncertainty error and a sample report.

It cites GB/T 36296-2018 and GB/T 39468-2020. It was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" drafted.

Introduction

Surface temperature is a very important characteristic physical quantity in the process of the earth's surface system, which reflects the interaction between land, ocean and atmosphere.

The comprehensive result of the action is to study the material and energy exchange between the surface and the atmosphere, global ocean circulation, climate change anomalies and other scientific issues.

It is an indispensable and important parameter, involving many basic disciplines and major application fields. Using thermal infrared remote sensing data to invert space and time It has important application value in the fields of climate, agriculture, environment and disaster monitoring.

This document aims at the authenticity test of surface temperature remote sensing products, combined with the authenticity of various existing international surface temperature products.

It has carried out a comprehensive, systematic and in-depth study on the authenticity inspection and standardization of surface temperature remote sensing products.

The authenticity test method and evaluation standard of the product make it have certain operability and universality while ensuring the advanced nature.

It provides a unified standard for the accuracy evaluation and uncertainty analysis of the remote sensing products, and serves as a standard for various fields related to the authenticity inspection of the surface temperature remote sensing products.

It provides technical support for promoting the innovation and development of my country's earth observation technology.

1 Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements, inspection methods and inspection reports for the authenticity inspection of surface temperature remote sensing products.

This document is applicable to the authenticity verification of surface temperature retrieval products from aerial and aerospace remote sensing data.

2 Normative references

The contents of the following documents constitute essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated citations documents, only the version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 39468-2020 General method for authenticity inspection of terrestrial quantitative remote sensing products

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 36296-2018, GB/T 39468-2020 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Brightness temperature

At the same wavelength, the temperature of a black body with the same radiance as the thermal radiator.

Note: The unit is Kelvin (K). [Source: GB/T 36299-2018, 3.14]

3.2 Earth surface temperature

Characterize the comprehensive temperature of the epidermis whose surface thickness is equal to the penetration depth (range 0.1 to 10 times the wavelength).

Note: The surface temperature retrieved from remote sensing data is based on the brightness temperature obtained by the remote sensor and the surface non-isothermal after eliminating the influence of atmosphere and emissivity Equivalent temperature (ie, directional radiometer temperature) of mixed pixels, including land surface temperature and ocean surface temperature, in Kelvin (K).

3.3 Authenticity check

The process of evaluating the degree of agreement between the remote sensing product to be inspected and the objective reality and analyzing its uncertainty by an independent method. [Source: GB/T 36296-2018, 3.2]

3.4 Relative true value

It can be used in place of the true value for a given purpose.

NOTE: Generally, for a given purpose, the difference between the relative true value and the true value is considered negligible because the relative true value and the true value are sufficiently close. [Source: GB/T 36296-2018, 3.4, with modifications]

3.5 Accuracy

The degree of agreement between a test result or measurement result and the true value.
