GB/T 41182-2021 is the English-translated version of 盲文点显器通用技术规范.

GB/T 41182-2021 is the general technical specification for braille displays.

It sets requirements for design, appearance and structure, the structure and parameters of the dot display unit, braille information processing, interfaces, functions, performance, safety, power adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental adaptability, reliability and limits on restricted substances.

Matching test methods follow, including low and high temperature, damp heat, shock and vibration tests, then inspection rules with type, lot-by-lot and periodic inspection, and marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It applies to braille displays, and other portable electronic products built around a braille display may use it for reference. Makers of assistive devices and testing laboratories use it. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 31 December 2021.

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of Braille dot displays.

This document is applicable to braille display, and other portable electronic products with braille display as the core function can be used for reference.
