GB/T 41180-2021 is the English-translated version of 听书机通用技术规范.

GB/T 41180-2021 is the general specification for e-book readers of the talking-book kind, devices that read books aloud, prepared by the national committee for rehabilitation and special equipment for persons with disabilities.

It sets the technical requirements for design, appearance and structure, Chinese information processing, the loudspeaker, interfaces, network connection, functions and performance, as well as safety, power adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental adaptability, reliability, limits on restricted substances and batteries.

Each requirement has a matching test method, and the standard also gives the inspection rules, with type tests, lot-by-lot and periodic inspection, and the requirements for marking, packaging, transport and storage.

It applies to talking-book machines, and other portable electronic products built around this function may refer to it. It was issued on 31 December 2021 and has applied since 31 December 2021.

This document is applicable to audiobook machines, and other portable electronic products with audiobooks as the core function can be used for reference.
