Scope
GB/T 41161-2022 is the English-translated version of 往复式内燃机 燃烧噪声测量方法.
GB/T 41161-2022 is the Chinese national method for measuring the combustion noise of a reciprocating internal combustion engine.
It describes the measurement of the cylinder pressure, the instrumentation and its mounting, the operating conditions of the engine during the measurement, the signal processing by which the pressure trace is turned into a combustion noise level, and the test report.
It applies to the reciprocating engines defined in GB/T 21404, and it separates the noise that comes from combustion from the mechanical noise of the engine. Engine makers and their development and noise laboratories use it. Issued on 9 March 2022, it has applied since 1 October 2022.

3 Terms and Definitions
GB/T 1883.1, GB/T 3785.1-2010, GB/T 21404 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Cylinderpressure
The pressure of the working fluid in the engine cylinder.
Note: The unit is Pa (Pa).
3.2 Cylinder pressure level
The base 10 logarithm of the ratio of the square of the cylinder pressure pc to the square of the reference cylinder pressure p0 is multiplied by 10.
Note 1.The cylinder pressure level Lpc can be calculated by formula (1). ) (1) where. pc---cylinder pressure, the unit is Pa (Pa);
