Scope

GB/T 41075-2021 is the English-translated version of 荧光增白剂迁移性的测定.

GB/T 41075-2021 gives a method for determining the migration properties of fluorescent whitening agents, that is, the ability of the brightener on the fibre to move through the dye liquor from places of high concentration to places of low concentration during dyeing.

A fabric whitened with the agent by a specified method is treated in a blank bath together with an unwhitened original white fabric, 2 g of each.

The result is expressed either as a grade read with the grey scale for discoloration, or as a level of migration calculated from the whiteness values of the two fabrics measured with a colorimeter after migration.

1 Scope

This document specifies the method summary, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, measurement procedures, and test reports for the determination of the migration of optical brighteners.

This document applies to the determination of the mobility of optical brighteners.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Migration property

During the dyeing process, the ability of the optical brightener on the fiber to transfer from the high concentration position to the low concentration position through the dye solution.

Note: Fluorescent whitening agents with good migration are easy to obtain level dyeing.

3.2 Level of migration

The migration of fluorescent whitening agent expressed in numerical value is the percentage of the whiteness value of the original white fabric after migration and the whiteness value of the whitened fabric after migration.

4 Method summary

4.1 Dye the whitened fabric with fluorescent whitening agent according to the specified method, and then take 2 g each of the whitened fabric and the unwhitened original white fabric, and put them in a blank bath. Carry out transfection.

4.2 Grade the whitened fabric after migration and the original white fabric after migration with a gray sample card, or use a colorimeter to measure the difference between the whitened fabric after migration and the original white fabric after migration.

The discoloration level of the original white fabric after migration, or after measuring the whiteness value of the whitened fabric after migration and the white fabric after migration with a colorimeter, calculate Calculate the mobility to determine the mobility of optical brighteners.

5 Reagents and Materials
