Scope

GB/T 40755-2021 is the English-translated version of 公共安全 业务连续性管理体系 业务连续性管理能力评估指南.

GB/T 40755-2021 gives guidance on assessing how well an organization manages business continuity, meaning its ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from a disruption before, during and after it happens.

It sets out a business continuity management capability model with five capability levels, from the starting level (level 1) up to level 5, where each higher level covers all the requirements of the levels below it.

On that model it builds an evaluation method and a rating of capability, with informative annexes on the capability structure and on the scoring rules for the capability indicators.

It is meant for organizations of any size and type carrying out a self-assessment, and for external bodies assessing those organizations. It uses the terms of GB/T 30146, was issued on 26 November 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.
