GB/T 40687-2021 is the English-translated version of 物联网生命体征感知设备通用规范.

GB/T 40687-2021 is the general specification for vital signs sensing devices used in Internet of Things applications.

It sets the requirements for appearance and structure, function and performance, power supply adaptability, safety, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, reliability and limits on restricted substances, and gives the matching test methods and test conditions for each.

The tests draw on the GB/T 2423 environmental test series, enclosure protection to GB/T 4208, drop and impact tests on packages, and the safety and radio disturbance standards for information technology equipment and lithium-ion batteries.

It applies to the design, production and use of these devices, and works with GB/T 40688-2021 on their data interface. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.
