Scope
GB/T 40678-2021 is the English-translated version of PXI总线模块通用规范.
GB/T 40678-2021 is the general specification for PXI bus modules, covering both PXI system controllers and instrument modules.
It sets technical requirements for appearance and structure, weight, PXI basic characteristics, power consumption limits, module features, compatibility with the system, environmental adaptability, electromagnetic compatibility, safety and reliability, and gives a test method for each.
It also lays down the inspection rules, including appraisal and quality consistency inspection, and the requirements for marking, packaging, transport, storage and accompanying documents.
Normative annexes fix the printed board size, the front panel structure and the PXI bus interface definition. It applies to the production, inspection and acceptance of these modules. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, markings, markings, packaging, transportation, storage and accompanying of PXI bus modules. Machine files, etc.
This standard applies to the production, inspection, and acceptance of PXI bus system controllers and instrument module products (hereinafter referred to as modules).

3.1 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 6587-2012 apply to this document.
3.1.1 PXI local bus
The daisy chain bus connecting the PXI bus module slot to the left and right adjacent slots has a bus width of 13 lines, which can transmit analog signals, High-speed sideband communication is also possible.
