GB/T 40420.7-2021 is Part 7 of the Chinese national series on virtualizing the broadband customer gateway over public telecommunication networks, and it covers management.
It describes where the virtual gateway (VG) and the physical gateway (PG) sit in the network, gives an overall picture of gateway virtualization management and sets out the management architecture.
For the PG it deals with device certification and authentication, local and remote configuration and management, and how management functions are divided between two modes.
For the VG it covers the management of virtualized network functions and of the network services they provide, with reference to the ETSI NFV management and orchestration requirements.
It applies to public networks and can be used as a reference for private ones. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 February 2022.

1 Scope

This section applies to the virtualization of broadband customer gateways in public telecommunication networks, and private telecommunication networks can also be used as a reference.
