GB/T 40420.3-2021 is Part 3 of the Chinese national series on broadband customer gateway virtualization in public telecommunication networks, and deals with the physical home gateway that stays at the customer premises.
It specifies network positioning and functional composition, network-side and user-side interfaces such as Ethernet, WLAN, POTS, USB and Internet of things, and functional requirements for forwarding, QoS, security, tunnelling, addressing and the LSL link.
Performance requirements cover routing throughput, address learning, connections, TCP session reliability and WLAN throughput, coverage and sensitivity, followed by local and EMS remote management, power supply, environment, electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility.
Private networks can use it as a reference. Operators and equipment vendors use it. It was issued on 11 October 2021 and has applied since 1 May 2022.

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 40420 specifies the network positioning, interface requirements, Functional requirements, performance requirements, and management function requirements.
This part is applicable to the physical home gateway equipment after the broadband customer gateway is virtualized in the public telecommunication network environment, and the private telecommunication network can refer to use.
Note: Unless otherwise specified, broadband customer networks appearing in this section all refer to broadband customer networks based on public telecommunications networks, and telecommunications networks all refer to public telecommunications Network; gateways refer to physical home gateways.
