GB/T 40247-2021 is the English-translated version of 重组竹.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

1 Scope

This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of reconstituted bamboo.

This document is applicable to the reconstituted bamboo which is made of bamboo bundles or fiberized bamboo veneer as the constituent unit, which is formed by forming the blanks along the pattern and then gluing and pressing.

Note: The product performance requirements specified in this document are not used as characteristic values for engineering design applications.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 18259 and GB/T 36394-2018 apply to this document.

3.1 Bamboo scrimber

A square board made of bamboo bundles or bamboo bundles as the constituent unit, and pressed along the pattern of the blanks and pressed by gluing. [Source: GB/T 36394-2018, 2.2.9]

3.2 Bamboo bundle scrimber

It is a board or square lumber made of bamboo bundles, which are assembled, glued, and pressed along the pattern.

3.3 Bamboo fibrous veneer scrimber

The fiberized bamboo veneer is a structural unit, and it is a board or square lumber formed by forming, gluing, and pressing along the grain.

3.4 Bamboo bundle

After the bamboo is processed into a certain width of bamboo strips, it is cross-linked and formed by rolling and dissolving and other processes to maintain the original arrangement of the fibers.
