Scope
GB/T 40041-2021 is the English-translated version of 外卖餐品信息描述规范.
GB/T 40041-2021 sets out how the information about takeaway meals sold through internet platforms should be described. It applies to catering service providers and covers the food and beverage products they provide for takeaway, but not pre-packaged food.
It fixes the description content, the content requirements and the descriptive attributes, then deals with each item of meal information in turn: name, category, main raw materials, taste, servings, picture and production method.
Sales information such as the price is not part of meal information. The document also gives a method for extending the information and an informative annex with an example of a meal description, and has no normative references. It was issued on 23 February 2021 and has applied since 1 June 2021.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
1 Scope
This document specifies the information description requirements for take-out meals, and provides information description and information extension methods.
This document is applicable to the description of the food information that catering service providers sell out based on the Internet platform.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Takeaway meals
Food and beverage products for takeaway provided by food service providers.
Note: Does not include pre-packaged food.
3.2 Food information
A general term for basic characteristics and attributes related to meals.
Note 1. Including name, category, main ingredients, taste, weight, picture, production method, taste, etc.

3.3 Attribute

3.4 Data item; data element

3.5 Information element
