Scope

GB/T 39847-2021 is the English-translated version of 固定卫星通信业务地球站进入卫星网络的验证测试方法.

GB/T 39847-2021 fixes the verification tests an earth station has to pass before it is admitted to a satellite network. It specifies the test items and the test methods for that verification: the transmit and receive characteristics, the antenna pattern, the frequency and power stability, the polarisation and the control of the emissions.

It applies to the earth stations of fixed satellite services working with the geostationary satellites of Chinese operators. Satellite operators, station owners and test bodies use it. Issued on 9 March 2021, it has applied since 1 October 2021.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

Introduction

The purpose of this standard is to ensure that the satellite communication earth station performs the network access verification test before entering the domestic satellite network operation.

The standardization of the test method facilitates the approval and supervision of the new satellite communication earth station by the national radio management department, and facilitates the prevention of unsatisfactory entry in advance.

The satellite communication earth station required by the network technology enters the network operation, so as to prevent it from affecting the existing user communication links and neighboring satellite networks in the satellite network after it enters the network.

Inter-satellite networks cause interference, and guide the satellite communication earth station to reach the system index that meets the network access standard.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the tests for the network access verification test items that the satellite communication earth station should carry out before entering the domestic satellite communication system method.

This standard applies to fixed satellite services that use geostationary satellites (GSO) operated by satellite operators in my country.

This standard applies to satellite communication earth stations in the C-band and Ku-band, and satellite communication earth stations in other frequency bands can be used as a reference.

2 Normative references

The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document. For dated reference documents, only the dated version applies to this document. For undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document.

4 Test conditions

4.1 Test site

The test site includes the working site of the tested station, the site of the co-testing station and the site of the standard school tower. Each test site meets the following requirements.

a) The working site of the station under test should meet GB/T 13615-2009, its antenna pointing to the star should be unobstructed, and the pointing elevation angle should be higher than that of the working side.

The upward skyline elevation angle is 5° in C-band and 10° in Ku-band. If there is any unsatisfactory item, it should be clearly stated before the test. For indoor equipment The environment should meet the requirements of the working environment required by the equipment.

b) The co-testing station site should meet GB/T 13615-2009, and no harmful interference will enter the test within plus or minus 30° of the pointing direction deviation of the satellite The environment of the system, indoor equipment and test instruments should meet the required working environment requirements.

c) When using the standard tower method for the verification test of the earth station antenna access to the network, its antenna has no obstruction to the line-of-sight of the standard tower.

The distance between the antenna of the station under test and the calibration tower should meet the requirements of formula (1). L >= 2× D2 d2() (1)
