GB/T 16954-2017 is the English-translated version of Ku频段卫星电视接收站通用规范.

GB/T 16954-2017 is the Chinese national standard on general specification for ku-band satellit television receive-only station, in the field of telecommunications and audio-video engineering. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 31 July 2017 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 February 2018. Classification: ICS 33.060.30, CCS M75. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 16954-1997 "General Specification for Ku-band Satellite TV Receiving Station". Compared with GB/T 16954-1997, the main technical changes in this standard are as follows:

--- System part added satellite digital TV (SD and HD) and satellite data receiving station content (see

4.1.1 and 4.1.2), delete Satellite analog television content;

--- Antenna, according to different materials, and increase the functional and structural requirements that users are very concerned about (see

4.2.2 and 4.2.3);

---The outdoor unit adds requirements for integrated outdoor units (see

4.3.4 and 4.3.6);

--- Indoor unit to increase satellite digital TV (SD and HD) and satellite data reception (see

4.4.1 and 4.4.2), delete Wei Star analog TV content; This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.
